Me
Passionate. Experienced. Committed. That's me in a nutshell.
I should add longwinded, frugal and nauseatingly good-looking. (I kid. 👀)
Come learn a little more about me. The basics: I'm a senior content designer at Red Ventures, where I use words to create better user experiences across digital products. I’ve been a content strategist and copywriter for a national fintech company; a brand journalist and content writer for a mortgage lender; and a newspaper reporter who covered murder and mayhem, startups and mom-and-pops, and local politics.
Other stuff
I like talking to people but Jesus is my favorite conversationalist.
I’m married to the incomparable Yvonne, a powerful singer and therapist in the making. Read about our pandemic wedding!
I’m an occasional author on Medium. Read me.
I helped found and co-lead LendingTree’s first Diversity and Inclusion Group. Representation and racial equity in tech/UX are passions of mine. I talked about it with Kristina Halvorson, the “Queen of Content Strategy,” on her podcast.
I co-presented on inclusive language and advocating for underrepresented users at Confab, one of the best content strategy conferences in the world.
My stint as a crime reporter was eventful. A convicted murderess swung at me with her purse (she missed); gang members put me on YouTube (they’re the worst); and I was on an episode of “Snapped,” a docuseries on the Oxygen Channel. I won awards, too, but that’s not as fun as all the other stuff I just mentioned.
